This amazing ruby red herbal tea is delightfully tart with a minty aftertaste. Hibiscus Mint is perfect for hot summer days because it cools your whole body down. It's delicious hot, but if you really need to cool off, nothing works quite like chilled hibiscus tea (it REALLY cools you down).
Add a dash of lime juice and honey to taste.
Mix with lemonade and rum for a tasty adult beverage.
Ingredients ~ *hibiscus petals infused w/ lime, peppermint leaf & rosemary. Naturally caffeine free.
*hibiscus is sometimes intercropped with peanuts
For chilled tea:
Steep 2 teaspoons tea per 4 oz hot water. Add honey if desired and steep 10 minutes, then add 4 oz ice or cold water.
I make this by the 1/2 gallon and store in the refrigerator.
All teas are sold by weight not volume.
Caution! Hibiscus Tea lowers blood pressure. If you suffer from low blood pressure hibiscus isn't recommended as a daily use herb.
